Exceptional throttle control!



A Royal Air Force Typhoon pilot flies up to the
back door of a C-130 for a photo opportunity.



He radios, "How much closer do you want me?"



They radio, "How much closer can you get?"



Pilot Radios, ”Close enough?”



You have to be a tad mad to be a fighter pilot in today's world, but
even crazier to be a photographer looking down those intakes!

Remember seeing this in a magazine, makes me wonder the logistics sometimes to get crazy angles like this with a jet that doesn't like to fly slow.

It kinda reminds me for our AAR procedures for refueling from a C-130 in the Falklands, until we got real tankers. It called for the FGR2 to fly so slow that it necessitated one engine in burner, to keep it from losing control, and the C-130 flat out.

All the pilots who did this commented that it basically almost negated the point of refueling as you were using as much fuel as you were actually taking on.

I got a ride on one of those c130 tankers down south and got a fantastic photo of the f4 pilot through the hole in the ramp.
