Sorry to hear that.
Can you tell us what OS you are on, what FS you are using and what survives from your previous installation.
These will help anybody that wants to respond see if they are able to.

Capt, sorry to hear about that. I'm running W7 with FSX. I suggest the MAIW Install guide, but basically do the following:

Create a fake FS9 folder, or just a temp folder to install the MAIW packages via the installer.

I manually move the folders over to my FSX.

In my fake folder it's set up like the normal FS file structure, for ex. copy/paste all the files from the Addon Scenery folder to the FSX Addon Scenery/scenery folder. Each MAIW aircraft folder goes into the Simobjects/Aircraft folder.

Not required, but you can make a separate MAIW folder to your Simobjects. To do this there are instructions in the install guide, again you do not have to do this as you will have to make some FSX.cfg entries.

Recommend getting AIFP2, should be on Avsim, to convert all your FS9 traffic.bgl files to FSX. Any "made for FS9" traffice files in the Scenery/World/scenery will cause your AI to be a no show. There are other traffic file converters, but I use AIFP2 with no issues so far.

Custom scenery is different, for the most part all of the FS9 stuff works with a few mods in FSX. As in the guide, do not copy over the VTPP VTxx or any "VT", "LM" type file. The guide has a set list of 4 MAIW scenery folders that must go in your FSX Addon Scenery folder. Remember the Win 7 bug when adding scenery, you must click on the "white area".

This may look busy, and the install guide is pretty busy as well, but once you get the idea you will be able to replicate that with all packages. This has worked for me in my set up for all US based packages, with little tweaks here and there. Others may have a different way, but just remember the "Install in FSX thread" in the MAIW Package Support thread.

I also use 2 programs from the Owls Nest, linked on the homepage: AI Editor and FSX Prop replacement program. On his site is the FSX wingspan list, as FSX reads this differently from FS9, and many of your MAIW aircraft will need to have their real world wingspan corrected in the aircraft.cfg file for correct parking.
