Cervia AB-Italy (2years ago)

hi guys! how are you? this is my first topic and i wanna share some pics of Cervia AB, a military airport situated 12 miles from my town.
it was the base of 5th fighter wing / 23°sq equipped with F16 ADF, nowadays the base is used by 15th wing (S.A.R. wing) with differet helicopters.

Wow! Nice shot!!!
During my summer holiday, in S.Mauro Mare, I went around the base almost every year.
I'd have somewhere some shot of france M2000 and turkish Falcon.

I assume flown back to the US by your pilots? Too bad they couldn't lease them longer and have them work here in Afghan alongside your AMX's. I'm back to watching Dutch Vipers take off everyday at my main base.

Don't know... anyway, they will be replaced by the Typhoons, pilots are already training in Grosseto with 4th Stormo. I asked the journalist who wrote the article and it looks like at least two aircrafts will remain in Italy. One will be preserved at the AMI Museum near Rome and the other should becaome a gate guardian.
