Military AI Works

Just got a new scanner, & was wondering if anyone could recommend any up to date web sites for military frequencies or if not, where is the best place to buy a printed frequency list.
On the same note, does anyone know the most used london Mil frequecies?
I live in Farnborough, so I am not sure what distance I can get from the scanner. It will be great for the airshow in the next month or so though.

I have checked on google etc, but I am unsure if some of those sites are current as a lot won't have dates applied to them. I saw one site that was last updated in 2007. This had loads of frequencies, but do they change regular or will they mostly stay the same?

Listening to Mil freqs in this country is tollerated...

I remember back in the late 80's our local police were on the radio talking about a UFO that had landed in a field just out of town, when people arrived at the scene they were met by police officers and asked what they were doing there... names and addresses were taken and the Police searched several houses and confiscated any listening equipment they found...

In another case from the 70's, a local man was giving false information to police officers, sending them on jobs that did not exist, he knew all the callsigns for individual officers and did this for days.. they finally traced the signal to a house in Grimsby, raiding the house they found him on the 3rd floor smashing up his equipment... the transmitter was an old [valved] television he had adapted... the police had telecom engineers inspecting the TV for days and nobody knew how it he did it...

At airshows, I have seen numerous individuals using airband radio`s and police just walk past. I frequent Boscombe Down as I work for QinetiQ, & seen people with cameras & scanners outside the fence line. There are signs up stating not to use camera equipment, but the Police there are lenient (they even have a raport with usual spotters as they can pass on info if there is something suspicious) & I beleive this happens at a lot of RAF bases. I suppose as long as you don`t listen into the police or fire frequencies, as aljude said, it is tollerated.

IIRC so long as people do not use any information gleaned from a radio transmission for "harmful purposes" then listening to airband, and I state airband only, is tolerated quite widely in the United Kingdom. Also, you cannot TRANSMIT at all without the correct licence.
At airshows especially, you will see scanners left right and centre mixing it with the local police and nothing will come of it.....even in todays terror climate, people who listen in to airband radios are usually seen by the general public as harmless geeks (I include myself in this btw.....as a geek); yes it IS illegal but so far to the best of my knowledge, no one has ever been arrested or charged for using radio receiving equipment....I will continue to listen to the jets coming in and out of Coninsgby until my batteries die.....then I shall buy some more.
