The only time I've ever seen the Olympic Torch Relay was quite a distance away from home: Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia in 2000! Been watching this relay on and off over the weekend, thanks to the BBC streaming it on their website.

passed through my village today, something i wont ever see again ?
You've got pictures to show for it......considering it is something that happens on the international stage (although this sort of thing won't make the news at ten every night) it is still something that you can say you've seen....
A family friends daughter is doing a stretch through Leicester, she's extremely excited at being given a once-in-a-lifetime oppurtunity......I'll be watching it come through Grantham, although no-one from Grantham will actually be carrying it

At least we can thank the Nazis for something.
If the torch relay is your thing then look up Carl Diem, the German who started the whole charade.
