DCS World
As FS9 is Coming up on ten years old (an Eternity for software), and Nobody wants to make stuff for FSX, How about the conversion of scenery for DCS World? Anybody willing to operate Military aircraft in a Military simulation? Scenery seems to be the major limiting factor for this franchise. They have opened it up to 3rd party developers. The catch is: You better bring your "A" game. This is truly a simulation, with accuracy being THE most important factor.
Re: DCS World
I can't speak for the other guys here but I certainly don't have the time for that kind of development. My computer wouldn't even run any of the DCS series.

Re: DCS World
Hi Mike,
My previous statement is kinda misleading. In my humble opinion, the physical detail of the aircraft and It's systems are unmatched by any other sim publicly available. The world environment on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. The upcoming Nevada map with all of the Nellis Ranges and Bases looks much better. I think any of the MAIW Scenery would be a welcome addition to the DCS WORLD. If one package deserved to be remade for DCS, it would be the Falklands Islands. I wonder if any MAIW folks are involved with any of the Lock On Files people? They are essentially the equivalent community for that platform. I predict as FS9 and FSX start fading from popularity faster and faster, DCS will be the next big title in the Community. The basics are right. The flight dynamics are right, the systems are right. Adding physical interfaces (ie, Pit building) is much easier than FSX or X-plane. I hope some of you extraordinarily talented designers jump on the band wagon soon!
