The Super has a much larger and taller canopy, it must have been made for seven foot pilots as it just doesn't look right. The fuselage is also longer than the 312 and that also looks very odd in shape. As long it flies I guess it dosen't matter what it looks like! spew, chuck, yuk.
I hope everybody has there paint brushes ready!

I would have, if I could actually paint
I've managed some PLANAF Skybolts, but that was pretty much limited to getting the serials and decals looking right

With cuts occuring everwhere in the Defence budget, I'm not sure we can afford to arm it and give it some teeth. May be have to settle for a sly smile
O' by the way, the paint job on the screen pic's above are just "test paints" to make sure that all you hot painters out their can get the best out of model!

I don't think there is a production military aircraft ever built that the U.S. has not owned, even if only for a few day's trial.
There will be a basic photoshop paintkit. I say basic because I can't paint either!

There is some confusion on the Super Tacos, the USAF was buying them for another country, yes one would see AF pilots flying them as an instructor only, not a whole squadron of them with AF tail codes.

The proposal which is currently being rebid is between Hawker-Beechcraft and Embraer-Sierra Systems for a Light Attack Aircraft. These would be aircraft for the Afghan Air Force only. The first 10 aircraft would be based in the U.S. and used to train Afghan Air Force pilots over here before sending them back to Afghanistan. USAF IP's would train them to NATO standards.
The popular belief is that the winner of this competition could see many more orders for their aircraft as a result of this first purchase so there is a lot on the line for both manufacturers. Now the politico's are involved so it's a complete cluster @#$%.
Beech is offering an updated version of the license built T-6 !! known as the AT-6B (which is a license built copy of the PC-9) and Embraer is offering their Super Tacano which really is the machine for this job and won the competition the first time around before the politicians got involved.
What a mess, almost as bad as the KC-X "competition".
