I think you are spot on..... Both have the largest populations in the world and both need a lot of natural resources.

The Chinese and Indian restaurants on my street have been at war for years...not a Cold War more of a spicey kind.

And India vs. Pakistan won't be far behind..... It's no wonder why India is buying weapons like they are going out of style. I'm guessing they'll want the F-35 at some point.

And they have selected the Rafale over the Eurofighter beginning this year. With the EADS scandal that is just emerging any chance this get reconsidered is most likely gone.
