Can't do it in FSDS, you have to use an effect as Mark is saying.

This may seem a daft question, but how do you do it in ADE?

Cheers

Right click/Add/Effect.........Then choose the one you would like to use. Trial and error really to find the one you want. The manual can explain more than me.

I don't found any "effect" item in my ADE. I have 1.47.07 version.

Your using an out of date version there. You need 1.50

Ok, I have got the effect that I want to use in the sime but it appears during the day as well as at night. Can you spot anything below that would suggest why

Okay Dale,

In the parameters section of your properties you need to enter the following;

DAY=0;NIGHT=1;

That will take care of them showing during the day.

What I do (thanks to Mark C for the tip) having made my effect, I then copy it and paste it on top of the original.

In the copy parameters, I enter;

DAWN=1;DUSK=1;

which as it says allows the lights to come on and go off at more realistic times.

Hope this helps.

You put both entries in the "parameters" section Dale.

Look at your first image - the section below the effect name.
