Wot no Valiant?
(Don't worry, John - I am not asking for one. Just my evil sense of humour)

Nice, just to think, the close ups of the Lightnings and F-111s are payware quality only a few years ago!

It is so true. AI aircraft were for so long regarded as the red-headed cousin, but not any more.

Thank you Martin. Beautiful screen shots. A real shot in the arm to help keep me going.

Great screenshots Martin!
Are those using FSX and what clouds/sky addon are you using?
Thanks,

That is FSX with REX Essential PLUS HD. Really a great combination.

Thanks Martin. They really look great. Is there much of an FPS hit using REX Essential PLUS HD?

No, Mike. I am sure there is one, like with all such add-ons. But is seems to be minimal so that I did not even bother to measure it. All screen shots were made with FPS set to unlimited in FSX and externally limited to 30 with FPS_Limiter. My hardware is adequate, not a state-of-the-art monster (i7-920, 6 Gig, Radeon HD 7800).
PS: I never fail to get a bit nervous as soon as I see your signature picture

Hey Martin,
Where do you get FPS_limiter from?

Martin,
I use FPS_Limiter set up just like you and it really works well for me also.
I'm currently immersed on the "Darkside" and really enjoying it. My HTAI VT ANG F-16's really sound great with their sound aliased to that of the default FSX Accelertion F-18 and the default FSX ATC Control Tower is a great way to observe, listen to and track AI flights in and outbound from an airbase.
Unfortunately FSX handles AI enough differently to complicate matters a bit, but I am slowly learning how to deal with some of the issues.
Yes, that screenshot makes me a tad nervous too when I think of all the work that I have put into that project.
BTW...That is an AI USN destroyer on patrol in the background and my Teddy Roosevelt actually launches NBAI Tomcats off two different catapults.
