He was fine, Mike, he walked away with not a mark on him; shaken and not stirred, as they say. I'm just glad I was sat at my desk 15 miles away and not 3 feet away sat beside him. On the other hand, if I had been sat beside him it probably wouldn't have ended this way. Surprisingly, the aircraft is in Canada right now getting rebuilt.

This was nearly a year ago now, the inquiry report has only just been released with the conclusion that it was 'just one of those things'. Lots of lessons to learn, but nothing major.

He's just been loaded back onto a course, to start from scratch, and not with me as his instructor either

Glad it didn't ruin his career.

First I thought the pic showed RC models? Glad that nobody was injured.

That looks expensive...but I am sure it will buff right out.

Glad it didn't ruin Cary's career.....

I used to leave my pilot certificates inside the plane when I soloed a student. I figured that if they crashed, I wouldn't need them after that.

Chris, he was doing quick stops.

I suspect he may have got his nose-up attitude inspiration from this ... :-)
