Next project up from Brian Clarke - RAF St. Athan in Wales. The station, now operated by the MoD, formerly carried out major servicing for most RAF types, big and small, and is home to 4 School of Technical Training, which specialises in non-aircraft technical trades. The University of Wales Air Squadron and 634 VGS also fly from the station.

Just got to add a background poly to it and she'll be ready to fly.

Spent a week at the Ground Defence School many moons ago, training to be a Range Conducting Officer.

Place was run by the Rockapes - all bulled boots and nae brains. :smt005

Still it was 50 pence for a pint and 60 pence for a nip in the Mess. Came back home with a liver the size of a medicine ball.

It was a huge place with East and West camps. At that time there were a load of Spitfires in one of the hangers (9 I think) which were the spares source for the BBMF. It was also where the major Harrier servicing/repair was done.

Thanks Brian, look forward to this one.

No boundary fence. Base is massive so scenery has been cut down just to keep the main buildings and parking areas in. Trouble is its difficult to know when to stop.

Hello, is it possible to download the file without running a ton of undesired programs, antivirus, reg-check, toolbars and so on?

Yes you can get it from avsim. I use mediafire because it gives me a load of space to upload files to; it's a free service but with anything that is free it comes with advertising. I logged out of my account and downloaded the file and I only got one pop-up, which unfortunately looked a lot like the proper download page. If you right-click and Open in New Tab that should minimise the pop-ups, but I've never come across anything that installs itself as you have suggested. Always do what I do - double check EVERYTHING before clicking that download button - I've seen browsers that are loaded with toolbars because people don't uncheck boxes to say "we're gonna install this for ya!". But like I said, I've never had this from mediafire.

Guys, noticed a bit of a boo-boo with the crash tenders here - they have RAAF roundels on! So I've swapped them for small Carmichaels and substituted some of the Landrovers as well.

Thanks for the fix Daryl.

I have now put the British Military vehicles into the Objects Library of ADE so these vehicles will now be more appropriate for future base projects.

:D
