Think it was RN Bucc's and RAF Hunters they used on the Torrey Canyon mate.

Yeah I knew that, I just thought Martin was getting into imagination-overload mode and doing some wishful thinking, because I think Sea Vixens were involved as well :wink:

I quite forgot about the Sea Vixens - remember seeing them on the news too.

Right you are, Stew. I mentioned the de Havilland V* line only few days ago in another post here as something that was culpably neglected. On the other hand I can imagine that some day... :mrgreen:

It's a crying shame that some of those F1-11 are now 80ft underground in a rubbish tip on the outskirts of Ipswich, Queensland. The U.S. demanded that the aircraft be destroyed on upon decommission as part of the contract to supply the F1-11 to Australia.
I don't think there is a single F1-11 flying any where in the world. :cry:
