Aircraft Container Manager

Hello guys,

I have once again lost my ACM program. I think it was when I was deleting a bunch of nonsense that my 14 year-old had installed :x and I didn't recognize the official name it goes by. Anyway, it's apparently gone and I can't find anything on my HD or external HD except the patch. Could someone please help me obtain another copy. I am running 7 64-bit.

Thanks in advance, :)

Still don't have the program. Someone offered to send it but I don't have it yet. I had it running but don't remember how.

I will hunt it down for you tomorrow.
The way to get it running under 7, and presumably 8, is that installer needs to be replaced. The installer won't work under 7. Somebody did a package for that as well. Will hunt that down as well.

That would be me. Jake, either you gave me a wrong email address or my mail has ended up in your spam filter. The subject says ACM. I did sent it immediately after your PM.

I simply loaded its folder to a USB key from my old PC and dropped it into Windows 8 on the new PC. All worked fine.

Thanks Miljan, I got it. It installed and runs fine as far as I can tell. Have not modified any aircraft yet, though. :D

Hello, after the upg to Win7, I followed this method, but when I run ACM, it says the program can't start because Vcl40.bpl is missing.
Can someone help in this please?

Thanks in advance, Giorgio

ACM is a very handy tool and I have been using it in XP for a while now.

However, I wish to install and run it in Win 7 Pro - 64bit.
After reading the posts here, I am somewhat confused as to WHAT is needed to install and run it in Win 7 64bit.

Would someone be kind enough to supply me with a few details and maybe any files required for ACM to run
smoothly in Win 7 64bit, please??

Firebird mentioned that:

Ok...after doing some hunting on the Web, I discovered a page which anybody who wishes to run ACM on Win 7 would
probably find quite useful.
Basically, there are sufficient hints and instructions to get ACM fully functional on a Win 7 64bit systerm....(I think!)

Here's the link, if anyone wishes to pursue this:

Sorry to dig up this old thread but I just can't get ACM to install on my Win7x64 setup.

I've tried all the advice that is out there, everything to no avail. I've even got a copy of an installer version specifically for Win7. The install works fine but once you get to the initial configuration screen (shown below) and click 'OK' nothing happens. Nothing.

I really need ACM to work so I can use it on my models that I'm working on.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mike, the browse button to select the FS2004 folder ... does that one work?

FS2004 location must point to a directory containing an "Aircraft" directory.

Yes the browse buttons both work, however no matter what I select as the path for FS2004, nothing happens when I click the 'OK' button....... :(

Could it be that you have it installed below C:\Program Files? If so, I would suggest to remove it from there and reinstall it outside that protected Windows folder. Many flightsim tools that "do things" don't work at that location, Mike.
