I really am looking forward to this. This may help you, looks like all the serials, including Patrouille Suisse, are here:

It appears there are 5 squadrons, including Patrouille Suisse, and the serials start at 3015 and end at 3212. Each plane has a pic at the site above, and each squadron is represented at the bottom of the page.

only listing 30 air frames including E/F. i'm not including the patrouille suisse, what i was after was how many in total
did the Swiss use, i have seen J-3001,002 etc. what serial did they stop at ?
EDIT: ok after further reading i make it 104 F-5E's and 12 F-5F's, starting with 3001 and ending 3104 for the E and 3201 to 3212 for the F.
would you all be happy with that or a smaller package ?

Ray
F5 Warplane for the World by Robbie Shaw (Published 1990) shows 98 E's and 12 F's in two batches.
World Air Power Journal of Summer 1996 shows the same numbers.
From others sources....
F-5E J-3001 TO J-3099
F-5F J-3201 TO J-3212
There could have been a 'top-up'.

I am on the side of realism, and its hard to imagine in such a small country they have like 120 F-5's actively spread out at less than 10 bases. I would be happy just to fill the bases and skies up, I also have mirage units from mike pearson in the skies and on base there, so I think with the hornets and the f-5's that will fill up the bases nicely.

thank's Chris so my first post was spot on then ? when you bounce around different site looking for info you get all up mixed and mixed up

i know they topped up with 38 E's and 6 more F's.

Maybe this site is of some help:
http://www.scramblemagazine.nl/index.ph ... iew=search
You can look up active aircrafts here.
I did a search there and the results are:
F-5E : 45 active aircrafts
F-5F: 12 active aircrafts
So from all 99 F-5E's only 45 are still in use (active) these days.
The site is pretty neat as you can search serials and squadrons too.
To me it would a package with over 100 F5's would be a too much. Plus this would be far more realistic.
But anyway I'm looking forward too this package!
Hope this helps!
greets

All texture's are done, Mad Modeller Mike P is working on a dedicated Swiss F-5E/F for us all
i might even paint the Patrouille Suiss again on the newer model which will delay the release a bit.

Now that's some impressive openness. They could learn a thing or two from that over in Russia. I keep feeling like the SVR is going to come knocking on my door any minute, when I've spent several hours on obscure Russian language websites, trying to glean as much information on their Bears and Blackjacks as possible

Nice work chaps.
Sorry to nit pick though but there are a few typos in the flightplans. The aircraft file has a few incorrect names, basically some that are E's are written as F's & vice versa.

They're in the flightplan itself. If you run it through aifp it will tell you exactly which ones are the wrong way round
