Is this too large of an object?

I am working on another retro scenery and am wondering if this is too large for a single object at 2238 polys. Also, can you guess the base.

No that's not too big IMO. That's about half of an AI aircraft of which there are many at any given location.

It's fine polygon-wise, I've built many scenery objects of that size and bigger. The problem you might have though is that when you view the object at ether end, it may flash on and off in the sim. If that happens, make two very small planes, turn them upside down so they become invisible and then bury one at each end of the model but 100ft or so further out and a foot deep. Attach them to the primary model.

I guess I should mention the ground poly is there for object placement only, it won't make it into the sim.

Looks very much like it, which means I can at least scrap my own feeble attempt
