Thanks,
Of course these are fantasy paint schemes based off the VT ANG's current F-16C paint schemes, but they will have to do for now.

As long as you enjoy the F-35A Mike, then it was well worth the effort.
Nice paint scheme as well. I'm told the model may have been made before it's time which may explain the lack of interest in the model by the way of repaints being available for it.
I guess by it out stripping some of my other AI efforts by three to one in downloads, sooner or later the virtual paints will start to appear more frequently?

cheer's,
Mark,
You did a great job on the MGAI F-35A and it is one of my current favorites. I think together we accomplished one of the most realistic AI gear compression animations I've ever seen.
Any thoughts on finishing the MGAI F-35B and C models?
Mark H. graciously supplied me with his in process version of your original paint kit and that made creating this fantasy paint scheme pretty straight forward. I don't do much painting anymore, so it took me a while to get back up to speed and get these done.

Any thoughts on finishing the MGAI F-35B and C models?
Mike,
As far as I'm aware, Kev was finishing the F-35B. I have no current thoughts or ideas about the C-model although I agree that a wet model would be great.
I got the F-35B to main model stage but I'm sure Kev (Weescottie) wasn't entirely happy with the model and so may have embarked on redeveloping parts of it that only he could make better, and I say that with all Sincerity. One only needs to look at his F-15's to acknowledge that Kev likes things perfect and to scale.
I think what may have held things up also was the custom xml codes which needed to operate with the limitations of AI engine and the FDE to allow it to do its thing and allow to have all the animated work as the real aircraft does during its landing and take-off. It really did boggle my mind trying to get around all those moving parts plus try to understand the limitations of simulator which were fighting you at every turn.
Not just a complex airframe to develop as an AI but also complex in coding and FDE as all need to work perfectly together.
The A-model was a chalenge for me and I was really happy to see it finished and it's pleasing that some people are gaetting some pleasure from the many hours of work that went into it, both model,xml code and FDE development wise.
Thank you Mike for going that extra yard to make a great FDE for the A-model and I'm sure the B & C model will also be fantastic should those models come to light.
Best regards,

Its not forgotten.
Been helping out a few things (XML type stuff) for other guys, but this is definitely on the lets gets finished list.
As mark states also redone some parts to make things easier (for me).
While doing the 'other' XML developed a timer (from posted code) so I can synchronise stuff.
for eg....
(G:Var9) ++ (>G:Var9) (G:Var9) 100 > if{do this} els{do that}
Useful for doing things after a specific time period has passed.
(A:LIGHT STROBE,bool) 0 == if{ 0 } els{ (G:Var9) ++ (>G:Var9) (G:Var9) 100 > if{ 100 } els{ 0 } }
So once the strobe is on, after 101 times scanning the aircraft goto keyframe 100.
I am just not sure at the moment how many scans = 1 sec (unlike the gauges)
Just have to work out how often it is scanned.
For e.g. gauges are 18Hz i.e. 18 times a second
The 'aircraft' built in XML seems to be more often.

That is really very clever xml code Kev. The potential uses are huge.
The one thing I am going to miss about AI development is not having the future opportunity to use these ground breaking animation events.
I really look forward to the updated F-35 as I know it will be quality freeware for one and all.

Well done Mike.
Apparently the local indigenous population has forgotten how loud F-4's are on takeoff...
