RC135 Aircraft.cfg error

I have just noticed that the [Airplane Geometry] section of the RC135 (Offutt AFB and RAF Airseeker) aircraft.cfg files is incorrect. The wingspan is given as 45.8 feet, which means that they can park in areas that should only be used by small fighter jets or GA planes!

It's not an error, it's been designed to fly realistically in FS9 by doing that. Please see this old thread below which explains this.

OK, thanks for the explanation. If I reset the wingspan value to a more realistic figure in FSX, will it affect the performance in that sim?

Chris,
Yes, I am almost certain that it would. The better bet would be to adjust the parking spot sizes appropriately.
I developed the AI FDE for this series of MAIW aircraft expressly for FS9, but sometime when I have some free time I may develop an AI FDE for them in FSX.
Not surprisingly there are more impacts on FS9 AI FDE's when used in FSX than just this parking issue, however most of these would never be noticed unless you compared the AI aircraft's performance closely between FS9 and FSX.

I will reset the wingspan, and keep an eye out for "weird stuff"

Once you do that, if there is something you don't like with the VFR pattern in FSX, you could always change the flight plans to IFR only.
