Quick question. In the effects folder there is three bmp files fx_5, fx_smoke, and fx_wake_2. Are those files for the new plane or the scenery? I installed the plane but not the scenery (will install the scenery at a later time).

They're all aircraft related.

There are some un-textured engine nacelles on the CT-49's. (See attached.)

That's probably something to take up with the model maker - if you look at the texture sheet, there are only seven engine-front parts, not eight as I'm sure there should be.

That is rather unfortunate, however as Daryl mentioned the problem appears to be in the model itself. The 707 model has been released for some time and the CT-49 fleet was included as a wee bonus for our retro fans. MAIW only had "input" on the new E-3A model etc.
Juan from NAAI is a member here - so I'll PM him and alert him to this thread.

Here is where the engine nacelles are textured from. (See attached.)
This is an Air China paint done by Mr. Eduardo over at RetroAI.

Yep - looks the same (7 nacelles).
Have sent Juan a PM, asking him to check out this thread.

There's actually 8 nacelles in the Air China 707 Stewart.

.
I suppose it was an error when porting the 707pk from PSD to PSP. Should be easy enough to fix.

ok here is the texture sheet i used, as you can see the 8th nacelle is clearly missing.
i will have a play with the texture sheet adding the new nacelle to the model and all should be ok.
there will be an update soon, thank's for spotting that guy's, i'm on it

Got them. Mipmapped them. Replaced them. Re-compiled and replaced the released package. Would somebody like to check that there is no error that crept in.

Hello. I am sorry to disturb a thread about E3A with another point.
Thanks for this package; I see something strange at ENOL: aircraft lands correctly, then moves on grass,
goes thru hangar, and terminates cut by another hangar side.
Begin Friday 5/13:08:00 to see this.
It seems to follow stock AFCAD, with new buildings placed on them.
This is just for information, I am happy with this new ENOL, and can use the old one with just an added parking.

NATO’s E-3A Component at Geilenkirchen airbase in Germany retired its first Boeing E-3A Sentry this week. The aircraft, registered LX-N90449, was taken on its final mission on Wednesday 13 May and welcomed with a water salute from the fire brigade as it returned to Geilenkirchen for the last time. The aircraft departs for AMARG on 23 June.
