LGSA FSX- Chania Ioannis Daskalogiannis Souda AB [WIP]


Hi all

This is a scenery project I have started a 2 months ago,











The scenery will be for FSX, it is possible that I will make at least an AFCAD for FS9 but not sure, cannot guarantee that!

The scenery will be,

photoreal, seasonal textures and night textures will be available,
AI friendly,
FSDT GSX friendly,
buildings from HSP(Hellenic Scenery Project), MAIW libraries,
some goodies made by me as you can see at the screenshots

I am in a good way but I don't know when it becomes available!

I AM BACK, yes I have do restart working this project (long time without absolutely doing anything at all, almost a year!) and I hope that after I finish it I will also restart some AI projects I have posted and never finished.

Just an update, happy to see you all again, hope everyone is doing well!

I hope the fs9 afcad

Hi,

AFCAD for sure but if I could find beta testers I should be able to release it for FS9 also. I am adding some FSX objects and I dont have my FS9 installation anymore for testing an FS9 version.

I have also do some P3D tests with a friend who run it but many things was not visible there, old stuff at most from FS9 but the AFCAD has worked at least.

Some words at first,
I have started to work on a new FSX version somewhere at the beginning of 2014 and around March, short after I have decided to investigate and try to make a photoreal version of the scenery.
I have worked the scenery a few months but at a very slow tempo, finally I have totally lost my interest about it and have left it at side.

But an unfinished project is good to finish sometime, don’t you think!

The scenery is a representation off the airport, I wasn’t there but I have a dream to take a long time vacation at Crete.
The scenery is fully compatible with FSX but it has many bugs with P3D v2.5 that I have tested. Not tested at FS2004 at all, although many objects are FS2004 compatible.

As I have already said the scenery is a representation, you will have to download a file from the MAIW guys in order for you to be able to see some objects at the scenery. I will give you the link and details about it at the install instructions.

More in detail, the scenery is photoreal scenery with seasonal textures which are color trimmed to match the “FTX Global openLC Europe”. I have also tested them with the “SceneryTech Europe Landclass” and the match was good. I will also make the photoreal PSD file available to anyone who wants to color the file and match other landclass products or the default FSX landclass colors.
Please check for that at the end.

I have used again the scenery buildings from HSP team which I have the permission for. They are the main apron building, the combat aircraft shelters, the OLYMPIC hangar, the old apron building and the tank stations.

I have also used some free libraries which are free to use without permission requests, credits to developers off course.

The scenery is fully compatible with “FSDreamTeam GSX Ground Services for FSX” and has an error free AFCAD for the AI aircraft fans.

Looks great Christopher, really liking photoreal more now that I have a few files. Even if it is the area immediately around the subject airfield, it looks the part in the sim.
