Since I now live in ND and have nothing to do on my days off, I was poking around Scramble today. I was pleasantly surprised by the dates reported. There's a lot of 2014 updated ch-47units. Out of curiosity, are there any external differences between the CH-47D and F?

In the AI world, no. The antenna configurations will be different throughout the various users, and the RCAF went with the bigger fuel tanks (MH-47 style) for their new "F" models.
