1st thing I would do as well, throw the chocks out for firewood prior to "hitting the silk".

Hi Giorgio,
These are screenshots I took while on a Bear hunt with the superb VRS F-18E SuperBug with TacPack for FSX. I'm a relative newcomer to both FSX and this outstanding addon and am on a steep learning curve with both.
Although I've had the VRS TacPack enabled SuperBug for almost a year now, my real world commitments along with some for FS9 AI FDE development have prevented me from getting too involved with it.
Since I now have a little more free time, I have started to learn the SuperBug and TacPack ropes and fly this wonderful aircraft.
Being an old Air Defense Command veteran, the A2A capabilities interest me the most, so I have created an AI target scenario with four pairs of MPAI Tu-95 Russian Bears (FS9), each pair escorted by two SBAI Su-33 Flanker D's (FS9), flying south down the Lake Champlain valley. This of course alerts four visiting NBAI F-18E TopHatters (FS9) and me in my VRS F-18E TopHatter CAG bird to scramble from the VT ANG airbase (my old stomping grounds) at KBTV to intercept them. Needless to say this becomes quite a turkey shoot for me and I found it quite amazing to watch these AI targets burst into flames, fall from the sky and in many cases at least partially disintegrate. Being a newbie I was very pleasantly surprised that my AI targets actually were destroyed like that.
When I got up close and personal with the falling, flaming MPAI Bear targets before they crashed I noticed that the A2A missile hits had triggered their ground equipment animations such as wheel chocks, access ladders, etc. that were compiled into their model.
This is no big deal unless you like to watch your missiles strike an AI target and its subsequent plunge to earth. Being a bit of a purist I have contacted Mike Pearson and he has agreed to compile some MPAI Bear models without the ground equipment to be used with the VRS TacPack either for AI target flight planning or for placement from within TacPack in lieu of a tanker.
The VRS developers did an outstanding job on one of the finest FSX addon aircraft and combat systems ever, bar none, and I am having a great time with it!
I think it will get even better when the FSX@War guys release their companion package, hopefully in the near future.

TOTALLY unrealistic !!! I'm sorry but " flying south down the Lake Champlain valley" ??? If they fall in the middle of the lake or on the NYS side they'll muck up some really good Landlocked Salmon fishing AND endangered a couple of neat local bars

! If they fall on the VT side they'll piss off a legion of serious tree huggers . Besides , 425 Sqn @ YBG would've stopped them 1200 miles north of the lake !!

No great loss on the tree huggers

. Just noticed my hometown in the background (the big island in the lake).

Jon,
We have more than our fair share of "tree huggers" now, especially in Chittenden County, and if they had their way the VT ANG would cease to exist much less transition to the F-35A at the end of the decade.
So you were originally from South Hero or Grand Isle? That beautiful drive through "The Islands" on the newly repaved route 2 is one of my favorite routes during the summer months.

Mike,
I suppose the population has grown to nearly unbearable levels now.
Second house on the right on route 2 as you get into Grand Isle.

Jon,
There's a large number of folks living in South Hero, Grand Isle and even North Hero now and commuting into the Burlington area for work. I usually limit my rides through "The Islands" to mid-week around the middle of the day to avoid as much of the commuter traffic as possible.
