Hi,
I have downloaded the new Ai-Aircraft Airbus A400. I am afraid but there is not a instruction in the zipped file, how to install the aircraft in FSX. I am a newbie, therefore it would be nice if someone could help me to that issue.
I am writing from Germany, please excuse my english.
Greetings
Peter

I`m also new in the forum. Where can I get a flightplan for that? I know that the A400M is based in Wunstorf AFB near Hannover in germany.

Peter,
You can use this link to download the FSX install guide. If you are just installing the A400, unzip to a temp folder or desktop, then move the "MAIW_NBAI_A400M_Atlas" folder to your ...\Simobjects\Airplanes folder. The flightplans found in the A400 thread will need to be converted for use in FSX from the FS9 format. I use the freeware program AIFP3. Following the guide will set up a MAIW folder under your Simobjects, where I keep all MAIW models and thus outside of the Airplanes folder.

Hi,
thanks for replay. I'm afraid but I can't open the PDF-File under specified link with the "FSX Install Guide".
The symbol for "PDF" is grey marked but it can' be opened.

Hi Greg,
thanks a lot. I've got the PDF.
By the way:
Please could you send me an example of a Ai-flightplane with an associated Military-Ai-aircraft.
I use "MyTraffic" with FS9 and FSX.
I would like to test, wether it is possible to use a freelance Ai-flightplane in FSX without conflict with Mytraffic.
Currently I do'nt have experience with self prepared Ai-flightplanes.
Best Greetings
Peter

Quite simply download anyone of our packages. We include the aircraft, the traffic file and the source files that are compiled to make the traffic file.
I would start with a small package using something that you know isn't included in the my traffic package. That way you will know when it works.
However the answer is that it will run the traffic OK. However, I understand that you need to prove it for yourself.

I have a question about the french A400.
Which callsign do I have to use?
COTAM or French Airforce?
Who uses French Air Force? If I am not wrong the government fleet like A319,310, A340, Falcon use COTAM.
Thank you for answering

If I am not wrong the government fleet like A319,310, A340, Falcon use COTAM.[/color] This is correct.
However, for the A400M of the French air force, the callsign is ATLAS I think. Like C-130 and C-160, they are not included in the COTAM group. See the topic "French air force traffic ai" in the flightplan doc, you will find all callsigns of the french army
I hope I answer to your question

Mike included several options for callsigns etc.
Atlas in the EVP files is not a callsign, it's the model of the aircraft.
COTAM would be the correct callsign to use.

The flight plans it sounds like you are looking for can be found MAIW Contributors Hanger > NBAI > NBAI Airbus A400M > page 2 of the thread. There are multiple files on page 2. Hope this is what you are looking for and help.
