USCG Air Station Sitka Flight Plans +

As promised, here are the USCG Sitka AI flight plans.

First some notes:
The default AFCADs in FS9 and FSX for PASI have no parking spots on the Coast Guard ramp so you must add them. Here are my suggestions for the modifications to provide parking for both.

I have 'Tongass Fjords' scenery in my system; I modified the PASI AFCAD that comes with it.
Image

Occasionally, as there is only one taxiway, I have seen a landing aircraft or one waiting to take off
disappear due to the 'I was here first' factor. I have attempted to schedule the Coast Guard helos so
that it hopefully doesn't affect them. The best way to ensure the Coasties always fly is to make a
separate helo AFCAD. I'll leave that up to you if you want.

In both FS9 and FSX I've provided a 'rescue' flight. There is a commercial fishing vessel in trouble
off the coast of Kruzof Island northwest of Sitka. Twice a week one of the helos flies out to the
location. '1ASI" is the waypoint for the 'rescue'.
Image

For FSX I've also included a traffic file for a USCG high endurance cutter to get called off of patrol
to come and assist.
Image
Image

The objects I used in the 'rescue' .bgls come from stock FS9/FSX objects, from the MAIW USCG Elizabeth
City package (sinking.bgl) and from 'lens_ez_wilderness.bgl'.
Image

Put the traffic .bgl's and the AFCAD .bgl's wherever you place them in your setup.
I hope they work for you. They do on my Win7/FSX Accel. Let me know what you thnk.

Probably not as it's a stock FSX ship.

EDIT: Correction. It does have a hard deck. I just slewed out to it and set an aircraft on the deck and it didn't fall through !

Ever hopeful

I use coast_guard_c-130_flt_plan_fix.zip on avsim for Kodiak Herc's. Only 1 visit to Sitka though.

There are five HC-130's at Kodiak, five MH-60's and five MH-65's. I have a flight plan started covering all of them, but it'll be a while 'til its fleshed out. I'll do an FS9 version, too.

Thanks for the deck info. I'll make use of your -65 plans, I purchased the JFAI pack with the Dauphin.
