Morning all. Having just released a repaint of Slingsby Venture T.2 G-BUEK it got me thinking. As there's a fair few of you (me included) that like a bit of retro action would anybody want me to re-militarise these nice old birds and get 'em flying from their previous military homes? Cheers all

I like retro cadet stuff.. being as I was a rerto cadet here in NZ.... Wonder if I can figure a way to do an AI glider?

That's yours truly sitting in the *mighty* KA4 a lot of haircuts ago.... must be around 30 years I guess (I think it was my first solo on aero-tow....)

Oh, and you know you are getting old when the aircraft you first soloed is going to be hung in the foyer of the Air Force Museum for the Air Training Corps 75th next year....

SeanG (who is feeling nostalgic)

Wolfgang Piper specialises in gliders for MSFS:

I have two versions of his Duo Discus gliders set up for AI. One acts conventionally and the other circles the airfield continuously.

The .air and aircraft.cfg files obviously have the methodology if anyone is interested in applying it to other models.

Yep, I have his KA-4 for when I'm feeling nostalgic, and feel like flying something with the glide performance of a brick (which is actually what we called ours) :)

Might play with the air file and see what sort of a mess I can get myself into ;-)

Incidentally, I'm helping rig a KA-4 at the RNZAF museum next month....
