Hi Guys

This is weird. Only started today. When I save a project in FSDS it shuts down without saving. No warnings just closes.

Worked fine last week.

Any ideas guys?

That's a strange one John. Have you tried a complete shut down and reboot of the computer??

Hi Mike yes did that, strange it saves changes to an existing project but it crashes when I tried to add a new texture to it.

There was update over the weekend for W7 that did something to .NET. I'm wondering if FSDS uses .Net and the update has caused it to shutdown without warning?

Hmmm.... I'm on W7 as well, might have to say no to the next update.

John, so it only opens on saving? Does this happen for all projects or just one?
Does it happen if you create a new project?

Hi Mike

Uninstalled the update, tested FSDS and it still crashed. Uninstalled FSDS and did a fresh install in a new folder outide the default programs folder and it worked. Reinstalled the update (it's a security patch BTW) and FSDS is working fine.

So the conclusion is it was nothing to with the W7 update but somehow my FSDS application had got corrupted. Most strange.

Now going for a walk along the river with my best four legged friend.
