Japanese air bases -- conversions appear to be underway

This is impressive. Would love to get a download link for it.

It appears some simmers in Japan are converting Brents Japan airbase sceneries to P3D and aligning them with photo-real backgrounds.

http://fsx.o.oo7.jp/index.htm

I'm just using plain old' Google translate, which I know is crappy, but it is pretty adequate here, given the context --

Image
Because it is made for FS 2004, MAIW Atsugi base scenery which had the hidden problem of the hangar was able to be displayed on P3D by converting the XML description the other day
Furthermore, I finished it by adding my own simple photo ...

Image
Next time I saw Atsugi, the default ground surface of Iruma Base for FS 2004 that solved the object display in the same way became unsatisfactory ...
Not sure what that means, but obviously he's moved on to the next project, and mentions that he has added PR coverage for that as well:

Interesting

Then the blog resumes coverage in Japanese of various other commercial sceneries and products.... and then he posts this>
With this F - 2 effect also, we got Ken 's site "Eagle Drivers" to FS9 (FS 2004) for Tsukishi base scenery and optimized for P3D.
(We converted to P3D in the same way as Atsugi base and Iruma bases downloaded from MAIW of military aircraft specialized AI site)

That does look good.

He goes on later in the blog to give MAIW some good pub. And then he does some posts on a photoreal conversion of Iwakuni.

Man, I gotta get my hands on these.

Damn -- that is impressive.

So Martin, I gather all of these are photo-aligned? If I run through and do some PR background, they should fit (with little or no adjustment)?

I fear I don't understand what you mean with photo-aligned.

I'm guessing that he wants to know if they are properly GPS oriented so that they will align with a photo real texture laid under them.

The answer is... Mostly yes, for the ones I did. All but the first few sceneries I did are built directly on top of a mosaic of Google Earth images so the major elements are accurate down to a few feet.
