G'Day Mate's, (sorry )
after painting some recent RAAF aircraft i decided to relight the "pig" which i intended to do a while ago,but here is my problem.
in 1993 1sq had all F-111C's and 6sq had F-111G's no problem there.
i have all the serial's but i dont know what was grey and what was camo ???
so here are the option:
1/have a mix of half and half between the 2 sqn's
or
2/have the F-111C in camo and the F-111G in grey ???

vote now !

or
3/have them all grey ?

Option 2 gets my vote, so there can be some camo, and they'll look better as a unit.

I tend to agree. Nothing looks messier than a flight full of different schemes. During my 56 sqn days we were described as the worst example of non-conformity. Our 6-ship display on an open day had 6 different schemes.

However in my BA days, with those tail schemes, the flight line looked a complete mess.

I presume you're talking about the world tail schemes. They looked so much better than that awful union flag design they have now. Anyhoo.....I vote for number 1. Like a bit of non-conformity! :-p

Really? They looked bloomin' awful. Especially if looked across Heathrow at Terminal 4, our main terminal then, to see a mess of shapes and colours. It was probably interesting at out stations but at our main bases, awful.

does anyone know what year they were all grey ?

My mind may be playing tricks on me but i have a feeling that the F-111Gs only wore grey, so I would definitely check on that, but if so then they arrived in late '93.
