MAIW Fleet Logistics Support (VR-) question

I am installing John Tennent's new FAIB C-40 paints and I have a quick question. Did MAIW ever do any other Fleet Logistics Support squadrons besides VR-58 and VF-56?

Yes I believe that all were done, although some were flying C-9s at the time.
This is why the packages to replace the USN/USMC airliners were started, although not finished at the moment.

Thanks. I was looking for C-40's I didn't think to look for C-9's. I will look and download the C-9's and use those flightplans and just replace the C-9 paints with these new C-40 paints.

Ok I updated VR-56 and VR-58, but what packages were the old navy C-9's in? There was VR-52 C-9's in the MAIW US Navy Airlines Part 1 package but VR-52 is not around anymore. I did search owlsnest website but that just gave me the package for VR-52.

I thought I remember seeing VR-61 and VR-59 but I can't find them.

The original USN Airliners package had C-9s from VR-46, VR-52, VR-56 and VR-61. For good measure VMR-1 was also included.
It also had C-40s from VR-57, VR-58 and VR-59 in their original config, i.e. w/o winglets.

It was actually a package released by WoAI and used their installer.

Now if it is only the flightplans you are after then I have attached them, take into account that I have altered the names to suit my naming convention. I am sure that you will use your own anyway.

One more thing. Do you know the callsigns for these VR- squadrons? The new C-40 paints don't have the callsigns in the cfg file.

I just use the NAVY callsigns that were assigned in the original packages. I haven't been looking for others but somebody may have some listed somewhere.

On mission most use "CONVOY", similar to "REACH" for the USAF.

Navy C-40 squadrons should be using Convoy 4XX. Convoy for Navy support flights, 4 for it being a C40 and XX being the flight number. Gulfstreams are using Convoy 2XX and C-130s are using Convoy 3XX

You may still hear them use the old tail codes though... example, VR-59 Calling as Romeo Yankee XX or VR-62 calling as Juliet Whiskey XX

Lol, beat to the punch while typing.
