Hi all, maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I get the following error when compiling files as the title seems to be too long.

Andy,
That TTools entry is for a registration number, not an aircraft title. I usually simply use a single digit number identical to the aircraft id number located where you have the number 0000 in your flight plan string.
Below are examples of a couple of simple TTools flight plan strings using this simple system:
AC#
1,1,02%,24Hr,VFR,12:54:00,13:18:18,240,F,
1,1NWV,13:26:00,13:59:27,230,F,
1,1SEV
AC#2,
2,02%,24Hr,VFR,12:54:00,13:18:18,240,F,
2,2NWV,13:26:00,13:59:27,230,F,
2,2SEV

Thanks Mike, I thought it would be something stupid that I'd missed. Much appreciated.

You're welcome Andy. Good luck.

Andy, that second field will allow a 7 character string. Quite often people will use the individual serial number there so that if you see an aircraft in the sim you can easily identify where it comes from. On that one 'XR716' would be ideal.
It will enable you tell one aircraft from another if there is an issue with a texture. You could label them all 'LTNG' but that would not be that helpful if an investigation is needed.

I always use the a/c serial No.
