Croatia will get 10x one seater and 2x two seater of the Rafale jets.

The jets will be second hand aircrafts.

Alot goes into aircraft procurement, but I wonder what the price was for the 2nd hand F-16 deal that made Croatia pick the Rafale?

I believe Croatia were interested in buying second hand Israeli F-16's over all the other countries that had F-16s and were approached (which were allegedly cheaper than the ones the US offered). As the US has the final say on who can buy what, they blocked the sale.
The Croatian Air Force have got what looks like a good deal from France the package includes training, weapons etc there is even warranty provided!

The future Croatian Rafale's will be to standart F3.

For the Isreli F-16's the US want Israel remove all is israel technology installed aboard before selling them to Croaia.

Am I the only one that finds it strange that the French Air Force has gone into the car boot sale business.
Two second hand Rafale sales now.

French put some second hands Rafale on the market but buy new models to remplace them.
