Just finished the modelling of the EMB-145 derivatives for the upcoming Brazil package. There are 3 aircraft types:

E-99 (AWACS) - 5 based at Anapolis (SBAN)

R-99 (Electronic Sensing) - 3 based at Anapolis (SBAN)

C-99 (General and VIP transport) - 10 based at Brasilia (SBBR) and 5 at Rio (SBGL):



Next job is to design the texture sheets and map to the models.

I'll probably produce the Greek and Mexican aircraft too, but as a separate package.

What is the difference between a regular ERJ-145 and the C-99 version? Couldn't you just use the AIG model for those paints?

Nice work, John. Incidentally, the Indians have the AEW version as well. They have 4 in service with another 4 on the way.

I had to build the C-99 first in order to make the E-99 and R-99. The base paints are essentially the same for all 3 aircraft.

Sorry Steve, I meant to include the Indian AWACs in my intentions too. They have slightly different antennae plus a refuelling probe.

The Mexican AF ERJ-145 is already in the MAIW portfolio - though it may be locked away in the Matrix download. I certainly have it on my computer, and it's based on the AI Malcontent 145 which may go back as far as FS2002 and I assume is the basis for the AIG version. I doubt it's a patch on John's, though!

Mexico has the P-99 Maritime version too, with a large radome under the fuselage like the R-99 but with an added hump on the top of the fuselage towards the nose.

Yes, i saw that pic on wikipedia. I thought that the radome looked larger than the R-99B then I realised that it doesn't have the SLAR and I think that makes it look bigger.

Greece AF and Mexican AF also use some of these aircrafts.

These are the finished initial paints for each of the EMB-145 derivatives for the upcoming Brazil package for FSX and P3D. I'll paint up the fleet, once I have made the LODs:

I was watching an interesting video the other day about the aircraft. The reason the "Erieye" antenna on top of the E-99A fuselage is sloped at 6 degrees down, is because the aircraft operates at 6 degrees nose up at 178 knots, for fuel efficiency, apparently. That puts the antenna parallel to the horizon. I can see the logic, but 6 degrees seems a bit steep to me.
