Official MAIW Conversion Packages restructured and cleaned

The Conversion Packages section has gotten a bit messy, with different versions of the same packages or conversions placed in the Aircraft Models sections.

Also, the compatibility field or text sometimes did not give the correct information for which Sim version the models were compiled.

All packages have been moved to three sub-sections:
  • compiled for FSX (compatible with FSX & P3Dv1-P3Dv6)
  • compiled for P3Dv2 (compatible with P3Dv2-P3Dv6)
  • compiled for P3Dv44 (compatible with P3Dv44-P3Dv6)
These categories should make it clear for which sim a package can be used. I have checked on model level which target sim they were compiled for.

I did not correct the description or the compatibility field.

Is the guide for converting. MAIW packages to P3D still available? I searched here but couldn't find it, a outside search came up with this and a link https://www.owler.com/reports/military- ... 2243483661 to maiw, but it's not found. I used to have it on my PC but it got burned up in a wildfire in 2020, if it's no longer available on here, if someone has it and could send it to me I would appreciate it.Thanks

I wrote that blog post almost a decade ago. Unfortunately it's no longer available since we had to rebuild the site.

Maybe I can still dig it up somehow but no promises.

Flightwise,

I don't know if you did this, but here goes: I followed the link in your post, and a blog actually came up. I saved this in Notepad, and attached it here.

At the bottom there was a link to the full article, and I ran into a "404 Not found" when I tried to follow that.

For what it's worth -
