I'm looking for a German Air Force texture for Fernando's AI model. Any pointers?

Wasn't there one in Christian Mueniers' (sp?) German Air Force AI package of a few years ago?

Search avsim for "Do228" and look for "Dornier 228 AI Update" from FM. It should include the repaint for the Marineflieger. Representitive flightplans available by Ed Kooymans from avsim.

Hi John,
The GAF does not have any Do228 - just the Navy. From the official "Bundeswehr" website there are two Do228 LM left and are based at Nordholz (EDXN) flying with the Marinefliegergeschwader 3 (MFG3) "Graf Zeppelin". They are used for environmental pollution control over the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. When the MFG2 was still active they were sometimes used for shipping spare parts and technicians to other airbases where a Tornado was grounded due to technical reasons. I remember this happening at least one time in the late 90s when one of our aircrafts did not manage to come back from Keflavik.
EDIT:
The two remaining Do228 carry the regs 57+01 and 57+04.
There is a nice site about the Do228 in the MFG3:
http://www.pollution-control.de/ (german only; but it contains interesting pics from the Do228 and their work)
Cheers

Hej John,
just a little correction to "sprocky's" posting from oct 16th. The correct ICAO Code of Nordholz NAS is ETMN (not EDXN).
Cheers
Michael

You are right. I mixed it up with the smaller airfield Nordholz-Spieka.
