Well it's just about time to update your Holloman AI. Of course you could always leave them in as a "retro" package.

almost, we still got about 12 here...and just a heads up, the first two raptors will be coming from elemendorf for training in June. nobody knows for sure if they will stay here or not i'm guessing they will leave when the actual first two planes arrive in January.

We will probably have the cleanest base in the U.S LOL! i'm glad i'm not on the flightline anymore!
In all honesty we are not ready for this plane infact we are far from it..., word came down today that we are keeping the 2 planes from Elmendorf, but if 1 breaks down we are last on the list to get parts to fix it, so the plane would be down for at least 3-4 weeks. It is a HUGE mess, the last f-117's depart on april 21st and they are doing a 4 ship flyover before heading to tonopah, i will try to get some video as it will be a public event held at memorial park here on base.
both f-22's will fly every week and will be used for training untill Jan when we receive another 2 planes.

From AF Daily Report 18 APR 08
Resting Place: Airmen of the 49th Maintenance Group and 49th Mission Support Group at Holloman AFB, N.M. have completed the process of moving an F-117A stealth fighter from its hanger on base to a spot at Holloman's Heritage Park where it will sit as a static display for good. The aircraft, with tail No. 816, has a storied past, with the most combat time of any F-117A in the fleet. It was the first to drop ordinance in Operation Just Cause in Panama in 1989, the F-117A's first use in combat, and also saw action in Kosovo in 1999 and in the first and second Gulf Wars. More than 10,000 manhours were invested in getting the stealth platform into place in Heritage Park, including the many hours to fabricate and paint the airplane so that it could be displayed in public. The Air Force is retiring its entire fleet of F-117As after 27 years of service. In fact, the last of Holloman's F-117As will depart the base on April 21 to go into recallable storage at Tonopah, Nev., near Nellis AFB. (Holloman report by A1C Michael Means)
