Easter Holidays

Post by sprocky »

As some beautiful "Easter Eggs" appeared on avsim I wonder if we can expect something from MAIW :roll:

Although it seems the winter is coming back to Germany - which reminds me of some different holidays :wink: when we missed the snow - I wish you all some nice Easter holidays.

If a modeller could please check the newly appeared AI IL-86 that would be nice. If this is a good model I cannot wait for his MiG-31 the author posted to be in progress on his site. :)

Mmmm ... I do not see a downloadable link there, for Il-86...
AI Mi-2 looks very nice, btw. The only con that I see is that it is payware :wink:

I am sorry for confusing you. The AI IL-86 model can be downloaded from avsim:

Just in case, you think that eggs are silly or get put off before you download them them all, I should let you know that the Orange Egg is a genuine model, the B757-200 RR with winglets, for those people that have civvie stuff installed and have been waiting for this.

I'm dread to think what could be found in other color eggs 8)

Back to IL-86,
the guy has less than 6k polys but one LOD.
Again not-so-very-AI (needs some more LODs) but pretty nice model (and there's always lack of proper eastern airframes ...):

...and before somebody will ask why we are talking here about civilian plane
---> don't miss Ilyushin Il-86VKP
(Wikipedia: As of May 2007, a total of 1 out of 4 military Ilyushin Il-86VKP aircraft remained in active service with: Russian Air Force)

I'll stick with the Vala/SimLandmarks Il-86.

@rip: thanks for looking into it. I will stick with my IL-86 repaints I have installed (all for the SKJ model).
