Installed into FSX with minimal problems - I did keep and use my previously existing afcad as I have enough places for the C-130's and other aircraft also. Needless to say, the ramps are quite full!
The only thing that I haven't seen yet is the fly-by's. Obviously, it's a "brain fart thing" - wrong place/time dspite it being spelled out clearly in the instructions/notes.
Good job guys.

Could not resist downloading that package this morning and installing it. First thing I did: watching Maverick riding the bike
Just a quick question: The readme of the Oceana package states there will be three F-14 packages. As I have not found my name on one of the released F-14's yet I assume it will be released in the third package? Or did I miss it somehow? Nick wrote somewhere in the forums its a VF-33 - sorry, I am a dumb german: Is "VF-33" the squad name? Where was it located? The only thing I could find about it they spent a long time on USS America in the 80's.
Thanks for another great package!

Jan,
I cant check mate cos works internet wont let me see images from imageshack or photobucket now....(swines) But Im dead sure you were on there. If its VF-33 then it is one of the aircraft visiting the station from Oceana as a student on the TopGun school.
And the 3rd Tomcat package we mentioned would be a secret mate. HEHE

Sorry, Nick, you should not have mentioned it in the readme
Is this the aircraft -> "MAIW_NBAI_F14A_Tomcat_Dry_vf33_200"
(have no access to my sim here so I cannot check right now)

It is absolutely not necessary, but I think that a text or Excel file listing the association between aircraft and his user would be usefull
Otherwise Nick, you'll have a user asking for his a/c every five minutes !!!
P.S. five hours left to test it.....

Jan,
That would be the one if thats what I told you yes. Have a look in the original forum posts of the Miramar package, there was a screenshot of all the paints. See if you can find yourself there. Like I said I cant help you without my laptop Im afraid.
Bismarck.
Im afraid everyone will just have to go spotting and find themselves. I dont have time to do that sort of thing. Sorry.

From your preview pics - it should be that a/c. Reg 200 VF-33. Really need to check that this evening
Thanks Nick!
BTW: bismarck, I have found many names already @ Miramar

But I dont know the name you wanted to see on an aircraft. So I cant tell you if I have seen it already

The Turkey is back! Gents BZ job on this package! Long time Tomcat fan and this was just what I was waiting for. Looking forward to getting Oceana full as well. Maverick was a great touch.
Might be me, but my textures on the CAG birds is somewhat blurry, making it hard to read the custom names on the canopy, any suggestions?

It probably is you mate, turn your Aircraft Textures, and global textures upto massive and you should get a result.
They are only in small letters as it is only a small texture file. But you can make out the names clearly on each one with proper settings.
Give it a go, on my system all the textures are very crisp, and its a not particularly powerful system.

I wish to make amends to Ian 'Rocket26' McCartney, who crafted the scenery in the package but somehow we left out of the credits in the readme.
It the least that we can do as the package wouldn't be what it is without his work.

...I have no words... more then 180 aircrafts lined-up
Little question.
I must add the scenery trough usual mode in Scenery Library because I didn't find Miramar.
It is not stated in the readme. My problem?
Ciao,Giorgio

It does. See step 4)
"To enable this scenery, start FS9 and go to the scenery library in settings, select "ADD AREA" and then select the path of the folder "Flight Simulator 9/Addon Scenery/MAIW Miramar NAS". "

We all missed some parts in the readme on time
The good news: I finally found the aircraft dedicated to me and Mike Pearson!
Thanks Nick!
