VF111 Sundowner Carrier Operations From the USS Nimitz

Barry and I took the VF111 Sundowners out to the USS Nimitz for some carrier work and here are some screenshots of the action around the boat. :shock: 8)

interesting, did you have to modify the aircraft.cfg to get them to land on there? i made alphasims big e work with an afcad and arcab, but havn't been able to figure out how to get ai ac to use them.

Yes, I had the privelege of the creating the AI FDE's for the NBAI F-14's, both the released dry version and an experimental wet version, so I was using Nick's original wet model and my experimental wet AI FDE with a custom AFCAD that I created for P. Clawson's Nimitz class carrier placed outside the mouth of San Francisco Bay by P. Strogen and included in his CVN-68 package.zip. :wink:

Love those pics. Might have to put down my IRIS Tomcat and fly one of the AI birds around.

Anyway to mod the .cfg to have the speedbrakes deployed with the flaps?

The speedbrakes do deploy with the flaps just prior to touchdown.
