Top secret photographs of recently retired MAIW aircraft, taken at a remote MAIW facility located deep in the desert of the Southwestern United States........

Sad to see these birds go in real life as well.

So what's it gonna be? To retro or not to retro? That is the question.

You know what would be cool? If someone made a Davis-Monthan package and everytime a bird is retired they release it's final flightplan over to DM where they sit in storage, kind of like a package update everytime so all you have to do is keep adding the newly retired a/c. That way those of us can keep all the packages, they just turn into scenery

I'd do it but that's to much for me to undertake lol. Wishful thinking though....

Can you imagine the frame rate impact of all those jets at DM? Topgun was bad enough.

Believe it or not, I just saw a Tweet from Vance AFB I guess today on final to KOKC (Will Rogers). I suppose the Tweet isn't completely dead yet.

I think I read somewhere that they will still be used at Sheppard as part of the ENJPT programs.

I like the AMARC idea, besides I need a KDMA package anyway to complete my recently purchased A-10 from Asoft. Maybe just one jet (not every airframe currently at AMARC) from each package to represent the hard work by the MAIW crews.

From that website: "Sixty-nine Texan IIs will replace 74 T-37 Tweets over the next 18 months."

Long live the Tweet! :D

That doesn't mean the Tweet will stick around, it just means the Texan II is more reliable and thus they don't need as many lol

... or even simply less pilots to train.
