Drive Through parking

KIAG was the first AFCAD I completed that had mil parking. It was my impresion from many other forums that drive through parking was impossible to do in afcad because ai took the shortest route which was often to pushback. From a few threads on this forum however I have read that some afcads have drivethrough parking especially in the AFB sector. I was wondering if there was a toutorial somewhere on how to do this, and if there is can someone post it?

Not sure if this qualifies as a tutorial, but there's a decent thread illustrating what can be done in the PAI forums.

You may have to be signed into the forums to see the associated pics (one time I needed to be, the next time, I didn't).

I might add, that you should download the scenery package Victoria2008 (I'm pretty sure the name is correct) by several authors including Holgar Sandmann, available at avsim among other locations. Included is a very nice tutorial that will teach you a great deal about pipeline designing, which is necessary for drive thru parking.

As an aside, for those who haven't tried FSX, one of the things I like is that "drive through" parking is much easier to do because MS added a *pushback* qualifier to parking spaces.
A designer can designate "no pushback" which makes the parking spot a drive-through by default - in addition to pushback to the left, to the right, or both.

It's just a shame that it doesn't work

Hmm. Works for me, always has. Strange.
