tutorial on AI Aircraft development

First of all my apologies if this post is made in the wrong thread. Couldn't think of a more appropriate place to put it...
I have just made my very first steps working with FSDS, but see so many terms here that makes me wonder what would be the best way to create AI Aircraft (with LODs, mimimum polys, etc). Does anyone know of some kind of tutorial on what would be a good approach on how to create these aircraft?
