We were told last week at work that they are going to start looking for extras here for Transformers 2. I don't think I was a member here when the first one came out, but i was lucky enough to have been an extra in the first one that was filmed here at the bear base. they actually picked just about everyone in uniform so i guess i'm not so special but i just hope i can get involved with this one as well.

I can't wait till transformers 2 comes out, the scene with the hogs and the spectre from transformers 1 was by far one of the coolest action sequences I've seen in a movie in a while

Yea I heard that you have to use your own leave as well as pay all travel/lodging exoenses. And yes they did start filming, my friend from Bethlehem, PA said they were filming for about two weeks in her town. She and her pals went downtown to watch Tyrese lol

thats right, i remember hearing about some of it being in PA, didn't have to travel at all last year, hopefully not this year either. it was really amazing how quickly they built all the stuff they blew up in the first twenty minutes of the movie.
i've already been aproved to take leave if needed :) Micahel Bay is awesome too, got too see the movie 1 week before it came out here on base.

well, filming begins tommorrow here on base. I won't be participating in this one unfortunately. all i've seen here so far is a Charleston C-17...doesn't look like much is being filmed here. oh and the yellow Camaro is here parked at the auto skills center.
there could be more, everyone is being very tight lipped about it allunlike last year.

there also is transformer Gulfstream III. its been flying around the base. this is not my picture.

The C-17's are actually from Altus not Charleston
also some static T-38's and and F-4

It's all being filmed behind our 7th FS building, and the base is welcomed to watch over the weekend (no pictures of course)

I saw that plane when I flew a cross country to KABE, where they were apparently filming a scene in an old steel mill. It's just used to transport the actors and whatnot around, I don't think it'll be in the movie itself.

no its not in the movie. at least from what i've seen. i thought it was odd they had two t-38's parked in a hanger in front of the 2 C-17's they were filming in front of. there is also an f-4 under a tent...kind of odd i guess. watched them do some scenes outside the base today, and saw an osprey at landing at KALM. i might be able to post those pictures since they were not on the flightline. have yet to see any explosions yet tho :(
