Well as of today I am officially a Civilian again, bringing 6 and 1/2 years of military service and 8 years prior to that in the Air Cadets. Long time the military has been my life and soul but time to move on, look after my family and enjoy my life.

I will always look back on my military career with fond memories but it has become more of a hindrance in recent years, and some of the things I have had to do whilst in Iraq and Afghanistan are things I do not want to repeat, especially now I have a family to worry about and to worry about me.

So adios to the Military way of life, and hello to looking at it through the looking glass.

Welcome back to life Nick.
Thanks for your service.

What are you going to do after getting used to civilian life again?

Good luck for the future, Nick. I may be following you in 18 months or so, depends on what the military has to offer me then.

Bugger all if they stick to form....word of warning though the job market is very very tight at the moment. If you dont really really want to get out don't. Im having a hell of a time finding a job.

Hey there, Nick, you Civvie ...

What kind of a specialist job do you search for, if that's not too personal question?
