I'm no expert in this so can be corrected. There are
The way I worked it out is that you can have a scenery object(ship) with a solid deck and an Afcad to match.
You can have an AI ship that goes where you send it.
You can't combine them because the Afcad is always moving. If you don't want the ship to move use a scenery object.
Is that what you meant?

I'm not going to say it's impossible. After all, there are quite a few very smart designers in FS...and some of them reside here at MAIW.

But if you take a look at FS Shipyard, http://www.fs-shipyards.org/ , you will notice in their downloads you have 2 choices for ships.
AI or static (for landing aircraft).

It appears that reading between the lines that there is yet no way to assign a hard deck to moving AI ships.

But then again, Christmas is coming.

Have a look on avsim for afc_hard.zip by David Marshall. It describes how to create landing surfaces on any ship or building. This might be all you need.
