What sound files are you guys using for the T34, F16?

AI sounds are controlled automatically by FS. FS discovers what type of aircraft is being used...i.e Turboprop or Jet and then assigns a sound to it.

These sounds are located in the Sound folder of FS. Unfortunately it is impossible to control which sound an aircraft uses if you want it to be using the correct engine type, and so the only thing you can do to control what the AI sounds like is to overwrite the sound files with something a bit more realistic as I have done for my fighters. Something that sounds like a real Jet Fighter Engine.

Other than that sorry we cant help you here. Does that answer your question?

I believe, though, in FSX you can have individual sounds. What platform are you using?

Also an add on for FS9 called something like FSHOTSEAT that allows you to assign 'proper' AI sounds.

OK the Files used by Most of the AI we use here are

xai_smjet02.wav - used for most fighter aircraft
xai_twinturbo01.wav - used for Hercules and Helicopters usually

I used a idle sound from a flyable aircraft to replace the xai_smjet02.wav. I suggest downloading a soundpack for a F-15 or F-16 from avsim and selecting a low idling sound that you like. Then name the sound xai_smjet.wav and place it into the "FS9\Sound" Folder. Let us know if you succeed.
