Big IF at the moment, John. Personally I think that this 'leak' is political and aimed at the US, for access to F-22 sales.

Yes I see what you mean. I'm wondering if any overseas country will be allowed to buy the F-22?

Probably not until we have a "new" fighter (IE, when the F-35 starts filling up ramp space I'm sure you'll start to see the F-22A offered to overseas customers)

You might be right but the US is happy to sell the F-35. Japan doesn't want it it has always wanted the F-22.

Umm I wonder if Israel would be interested in the F-35. They were the ones that proved that runways were vulnerable in the six day war. Their runway buster bombs were a shock to everyone then. I expect they really want the F-22 to replace their F-15 fighters.
