Just saw the announcement of this new program on avsim's front page - AirTrafficFX.
http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=airtrfcfx

What stands out is this is the 2nd program that I have recently run across which allows for "formation flights" created on-the-fly.
Local aircraft and formations can take-off, fly patterns around the local airport, and land.
Enroute aircraft and formations can follow flight plan waypoints.
Formations of up to six aircraft can follow the user's aircraft
Granted this is/both programs are for FSX only, but I have to say, this "Feature" may be "the future" for FSv-whatever ai-programming.

I haven't bought this and am not recommending it. Just thought others might like to know about it. If I do get it, I will definitely report back here - but it's not high on my list - for now, at least.

Ford,

I'm curious. What is the other program that allows for formation flights?

Here's a link to the short discussion about the AirTrafficX program on avsim's forums.

Reggie Field's post is probably the best in the thread.
