Hi everybody,
Does anyone know of how many aircraft the hikotai (squadrons) of the Japanese Air Force consist? I'm doing some flightplans and I'm not sure how many aircraft should be used.
Thanks in advance,
David

Hi David,
I am also doing flightplans with waypoints and afcads for the JASDF having renumbered (with permision) many of Ray Parkers repaints to reflect the most up to date information I could find (last quarter of 2007) so 12 months old which shows 23 F-4s in use at 302 Hikotai at Naha there may be more but of the serial numbers I was able to cross check thats what I got. The 50th anniversary aircraft no longer there but with the Test squadron at Gifu AB.
The 501 appears to have 12 RF-4s. I am still checking 301 and 2008 was the last year of operation for 8 Hikotai so there birds will start to be phased out. Ray has done a nice repaint of the final year all black and yellow bird.
Regards,
Steve.

Hi Steve,
Thnx for the useful info! Would you mind sharing those repaints with me? Do you know anything about the number of F-15s in one squadron? 24 I guess?
David
