Where else would you station current Spanish F1's?
When is that one coming out? Hopefully while Spain
is still flying them?

If it's anywhere as nice as the French release was, which
I'm sure it will be, very much looking forward to it.

HI:
I have made this scenery because I love mirage f1 and los llanos air base, i was born in albacete and my father was mirage f1 pilot, now he is ala 15 chief,(f18 hornet) in zaragoza.

I didn´t want to replace your secnery, and your mirage f1 ai, that i´m waiting for them.I´m amazing with miragef1 AI and they are so beautifull.

Best regards

and Hi frank, i will write as soon as I can.I´m on exam for Spanish military AIr school, and i will tell my results

No worries on our part, the more military scenery out there, the better. The users decide what they want to use in the end.

Definitely looking forward to this one. Keep up the great work MAIW.
Sorry for seeming impatient. Definitely know how that feels from the other side. 8)

I noticed that the Morrocan Mirage F1 image has been replaced in the main page image rotation
with a new one from the Spanish set. Does that mean it's getting closer to release?
:D

Si.

This was one of Nick Black's packages that was left to us to complete when we could get to it. We've had to make a few changes to it since the loss of the two aircraft  recently. It is now in the que for beta testing so it shouldn't be too much longer.

The package will have a couple extra model variations that are not used in the actual package that will be available for you guys to try out. It also contains scenery enhancements that are a mixture of custom made objects and objects from our scenery libraries. With the other Albacete scenery that is now available, this will be a nice upgrade to that base.

Thanks for the update.

And after that Jordan or Morocco? I don't recall which I previously saw in the opening page image rotation.

I think Morroco, but again this was an orphaned package that Nick left us. Another MAIW contributor has taken it on so I know that it is at least in some stage of development. It will have some basic scenery with it as well.

Did I miss something? Did Nick leave the MAIW scene?

Frank,
The Moroccan package is in the system and he left me the Jordanian package so that is can be completed, but I have packages for somebody else under my wing before I can look at that one.

Fear not though the work is not and will not be lost.

Nick found a job that requires his full time towards that for now, he might be able to get back to modeling some day, but no promises from him. He's got a misus and a little one to worry about as well.

Good for him and his family - bad for the community to miss such a good modeller. I wish him all the best and hope that - as you wrote - "he might be able to get back to modelling some day".

Well, congratulations to Nick on the new job find and I wish him all the best.
Looking forward to the release of what is still in the system sometime this year.

Nick has been a major contributor to military AI and it was a pleasure working with
him on a daily basis on the base Mirage F1 set (and the base B-1B before that).
I hope he finds the time to come back in some capacity later this year or next.

Hello guys, I am still here in some shape or form. Thank you for such kind words, they are all very much appreciated.

Let me explain what happened. When I first started modelling and developing for FS, I was single and living on my own in the RAF on camp. Then having met my missus and having a baby, I still had time, as I was on my own during the week at base, and then saw her on the weekend, so my stuff slowed down. However having quit the military in May 08 I moved down here and was on leave until August and then unemployed until October, so I had 5 months sat at home and getting paid for most of it, so I had alot of time, between looking for jobs which is where the Apache, Chinook, Phantom, T-34 and Mirage came from. However having got a job down here now I work 9-6 come home spend time with my little one and then with my missus once she's in bed. I don't get any time to do any FS stuff at all anymore. Families are a full time job.

Hence why I have been absent for such a long time now. However I am waiting on a placement with the Police in the UK, they are slow in getting sorted as all government jobs are. I know I am in just waiting on a decision for a posting and then I can start my training. They are announcing some more postings at the end of March and so I'm hoping they can offer me what I want. If they do I will be living away Monday to Friday in training. Hopefully that will mean some time to finish some projects off, and then I will be working 4 days on 4 days off after that, so should get time to get back to FS when that happens, so if all goes well it will be at the end of this year.

I miss it alot and miss talking to and working with all of you. But I will be back, and hopefully I can catch the bug again and start cranking out some more models for you.

All my best to everyone and again thank you for the very kind words of support.

Nick
