I hope someone can help me with this, I have many of Ray's paints on my sim, but the textures appear blurred.
I have been in contact with Ray, who is not sure as to the cause, so now open to any help.
Would it be my settings on my machine? as in, dynamic scenery settings?

Many thanks

Is it just Ray's paints or schemes for Jake's P-3s in general?

Something rings a bell at the back of my mind. In your fs9.cfg what is your TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD setting?

Could he have saved the repaints using MIPs?? If so, that can cause blurry textures.

i saved all textures as extended bitmap using DXTbmp.

Unfortunatlly just Ray's paints, I'll check and get back with the other settings.

Solved!!! it was the settings on my machine.
Thanks to all who helped

@Javier
That setting that you use is I believe to be the correct one.

@DaveB
Can you publish what you found here please in case it helps Javier as well.

If you download the freeware DXTbmp programme, then open the textures and save them as a 24 bit image do not tick the mipmap box. This will get rid of the blurres.

This will slightly increase the individual file size so only do the affected aircraft.

I had to do this to some of the NBAI Hawk special paint schemes. Also I think it is a individual PC thing, as I had this problem when BETA Testing LUKE AB. I was the only tester with the blurred image everyone else was ok.

In the hardware section of the diplay settings, I put mips to 4 and the section below it to high!

Hope this helps

I believe the only thing that you need to do to cure the blurry textures is set your global texture size to Massive in the display settings within FS9. Some show up blurred if this is not set, some dont, depends on how they have been compiled.

I normaly have it no massive, reduced it to high, but nothing happened.

I allready use DTXbmp to fix this, but sometimes there are too many aircraft.

Well it an't so terrible i can live eith it jaja :wink:
